China is a vast country with diverse food preferences, ranging from the sweet flavours of the southern region to the savory flavours of the northern region, as well as the spicy flavours of the eastern region and the sour flavours of the western region. Inheriting traditional and famous dishes, the restaurant combines elements from the eastern and western to offer many unique dishes that incorporate both culture and nutrition. Our restaurant prepares delicious dishes for all guests in line with the concept of “There is no fixed taste for food, what suits the taste is the best” in order to promote Chinese food culture. The restaurant also has a nutritionist to recommend calm, healthy and green nourishing soups as well as specialized soups to boost the immune system. The Beijing Duck is roasted and has a rosy red colour, is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and has a smooth and rich flavour. It is known as “one of the world’s great dishes.” It is one of the most popular dishes for state banquets. It is a traditional dish with a combination of colour, flavour, and taste that belongs to the Hunan cuisine family. Mao’s braised pork starts with skin-on pork belly and is slow-cooked with icing sugar and salt instead of soy sauce to colour and season the meat. This method of cooking the meat creates a savoury and sweet flavour. When the dish is ready, it is golden in colour and moist but not heavy. It is the favourite dish of President Mao One of the most famous dishes served at the State Banquet was the “Yang Zhou Style Braised Pork Balls”, a favorite dish of Premier Zhou at the State Opening Ceremony on the 1st October 1949. The dish is made from the best quality pork, which is cut by hand into pomegranate-sized pieces and served with water chestnuts and a fine soup. The meatballs are in the shape of a lion’s head. The broth is clear, with a rich, full-bodied flavor that is not overpowering.

Beautiful scenery. Friendly host. Fresh, quality tasty food. Pan-fried seabass was my favourite. My 2years old loved the dim sum dumplings 😋

Absolutely s***!!! Went with family (6 adults, 6 children) despite pre booking the table days in advance they still struggled to cater for us. No pepsi, no sprite, no coke …no sea bass… a lot missing from their menu. I understand they were busy as it was Chinese new year but service was shocking! Specially asked for kids dishes to come out asap as they were hungry- only to be told ‘wait’ ‘wait’ 6 dishes came out 15 minutes apart. Fried squid was burnt. Enough was enough, asked for the bill for what we had and they tried to bill us for things we had not had. Then they have the audacity to tell our party to stay and have ‘complimentary fruit’. DO NOT GO THERE. Disgusting service, attitude and environment. Close the place.

Had a group dinner here with my MBA colleagues. The service was smooth, seamlessly delivering dishes one after another, allowing us to enjoy our meal without interruptions. Conveniently located next to AMBS and Hyatt. Not the best place if you are looking for halal or vegetarian options.

The seabass and the duck were standouts but I probably wouldn't get the prawns if I was to come back. One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants I've been to in Manchester but this does mean it isn't for everyone if you are used to more Westernised dishes.

Not your run of the mill Chinese restaurant. We were fortunate to have a mainland Chinese friend from Shandong to guide us through the menu options. For those unfamiliar with foods, many of the textures and star anise top notes will come as a surprise. Suffice it to say that was very novel and delicious in equal measures.
